HDR

When Is tarted shooting in digital, I've always though to myself if there's a way to make the images look better than they already are. If there's a way to make them "pop" out of the frame. I've heard many good things about HDR prior to actually trying it - and till that day when I really tried, it, I was still looking for that way to make the pictures come to life.

HDR for me is my answer to the landscape dilemma that I encounter. It's a way to extend the wow on the wow of anyone seeing the picture. I've reached a great turning point when I went to Yosemite. I think by then, I've practiced enough with my camera, exposure settings and tripod on Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas, that I knew what I was doing when I was staring down Yosemite Valley. The only thing that frustrated me was time. I didn't have it on my side.

It would have been glorious for me to have witnessed the sunrise from the viewpoint. But oh well... theres always next time.

Most of my HDR work is on www.jabbuhay.com. I've housed it there so I can draw a line between my creatives and landscapes and my wedding photos.

At this point, I'd like to take a new step forward. Short of quitting my office job and going full time with photography, I'd like to start waking up early-er - to capture some Vegas sunrises once a week. Maybe shoot a series for an HDR Time Lapse project. I've always wanted to show how a city wakes up in the morning. Vegas, New York City, San Francisco.

hmmm

I've been in love with photography, it's art and science since my first camera when I was 4 years old. It was a red, plastic SLR camera.
I absolutely love taking pictures - there's a simple satisfaction that makes it something that I can't stop appreciating. Currently, I am a resident photographer in the World Famous Little White Wedding Chapel.
