The Little White Chapel in Vegas

Quick disclosure, many years ago I had worked for the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
I was their head photographer for a while until I moved onto a different chapel. I remember my first I was their head photographer for a while, until I moved onto a different chapel. I remember my first time at the Little White - it was a summer elopement in 2007, this couple from upstate New York had brought me with them as their Photographer. While I was in the chapel I met Lorenzo - their head photographer then. I also met Roseanne, the legendary wedding coordinator coordinator.

I joked around with them for a little bit about hiring me as their photographer. Before I left, Lorenzo had already decided he wants me back for an interview the next day. And the day following that, he introduced me to Charlotte Richards - the owner of the Little White. And she said I can start this Saturday. And this was the beginning of my career at this very unique cottage Industry - Vegas wedding chapels.

Since then, I've counted well over 9500 couples instead of photographed. The math is easy: we can easily do 10 to 15 weddings in one shift at the Little White. Extrapolating the days I've worked, slow days, vacation days and the years I was with them, not to mention the time that I spent at Chapel Of Flowers - I was surprised to get to this number too. I made this calculation seven years ago.

Fast forward to today: I am now running my own business as a professional photographer - specializing in elopement and weddings. My last count is that I've been doing this for 17 years. Now photographing at The Little White after all these years brings on its own a lot of feelings for me. It's like muscle memory when I go into that place. And it also feels like a playground that I have outgrown. But it doesn't mean that I don't enjoy going there - quite the contrary. Every corner, every mirror, every door has a feeling and a face I can associate with. I remember fondly the nights I've spent there getting to know the ministers and coordinators. The exciting and boring ones. The legendary days and the tragic ones.

I'm glad that I still have a great relationship with the Chapel and his new owners. I've worked and operated in other chapels, but I know for a fact that whether they love or hate the Little White - they all wanna be like her. The Lil White has set the standard - and her legendary resume speaks for herself.
